i have a few golf clubs ( driver, iron, putter exc..) and a a little strip of land that is 8 ft wide and about 200 ft long and i practice there and lose a lot of my balls. i want to go to a driving range or a golf course to practice hits ( none of my shots are dead strait ) but my dad said that in order to go you have to be part of a club or not but he is from england.

I have a 97 pontiac bonneville and I went out today and my transmission was puttering on the highway and it just gave out. I hit the gas and it didnt move. Then I let it sit for a little while and started it up and it went back into gear and I was able to drive it. I drove it for about 10 seconds then it gave out again, i hit the gas and it didnt move. I let it sit again and I was able to drive it again. It worked long enough to get me home. Does anyone know what it could be? I put a new kit and transmission fluid in about 3 months ago so it cant be bad fluid. I just dont understand, usually if a transmission goes, it goes completely. Why would it work then not work then work again. Could it be the transmission pump? Thanks
I have checked the transmission fluid level and its fine. It was a little low but nothing major.
I put in a new kit and fluid 3 months ago and the car ran fine all this time up till today. All of a sudden I couldnt drive it.

I came across an old ping ayd. it is pretty banged up so I have found a guy to refinish it with out any grinding. My question is: after he polishes it to a high shine, how long before it devolops a putina finish again?

Im trying to keep track of my putting strokes but I was wondering if you consider a putt off the fringe as a putting stroke cuz I normall chip off the fringe with one of my longer irons but sometimes i putt. Do you only count putting strokes that are on the green or anytime you use the putter?
Does the fringe count as part of the green?

I am still in the early phases of my golf career (broke 100 twice). Should I dish out some of my own money for a nice driver? Buy a fairway wood? Buy a wedge? Buy a putter? All of my equipment is ok. I bought used equipment about a year ago that is name brand and previously highly rated. Chipping and putting are my biggest weakness but I have not practiced either too much. My game is not very long. Even when hitting well I am typically chipping for par.

Any ideas?
