What are the advantages of having a long putter? I currently have a 35 inch putter, but i am having trouble with putts from six to eight feet. I’ve taken lessons, but they haven’t helped much. Someone suggested i go to 1 48 inch putter, to control the ball better. I am on the JV Golf team for high school and i usually shoot in the 80′s. I am looking to improve my putting so i can move up for the next season. What are the pro’s/ con’s of switching to this style of putter?

I have a 35" Scotty Cameron putter and I am 13 years old( I am 5′ 3"). I used to have a crazy putting stroke so it didn’t matter how tall it was but now I have smoothed out my stroke and feel a little uncomfortable and mite need it cut down.Should I get it cut to 33" or 34"? PLEASE answer!
